About Elisa Pearlman
Elisa Pearlman is the Trope Teacher at Pardes, covering trope for Torah, Haftarah and Megillot. Born in London, she earned a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Education from St. Luke’s College, Exeter University, and taught mathematics before making aliyah in 1998. In addition to her work at Pardes, Elisa is the Year 5 Homeroom teacher at the Anglican International School of Jerusalem and prepares Bnei Mitzvah students.
Elisa has taught a wide range of trope traditions over the past 26 years, including Yemenite, Moroccan and Gibraltarian nusachim. Elisa lives in Jerusalem with her three children, where she has been singing with her women’s a cappella group for almost as long as she has been teaching trope.
