About Rabbi Maya Zinkow
Rabbi Maya Zinkow is a member of the Pardes North America faculty. Based in Berkeley, California, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from Barnard College, and received rabbinic ordination and a Master’s Degree in Jewish Women and Gender Studies from The Jewish Theological Seminary.
Before joining Pardes, Maya served for five years as Campus Rabbi at UC Berkeley Hillel, where she worked closely with students to foster meaningful Jewish learning and community. Passionate about making Torah engaging and accessible, she brings warmth, creativity and thoughtful leadership to her teaching. Outside the classroom, Maya is an enthusiastic Peloton rider (over 500 rides!), and counts Cody Rigsby as her favorite instructor.
