Shulie Mishkin

Shulie Mishkin teaches “tour and text” courses at Pardes, bringing together the study of Jewish sources with the landscapes and history of the land of Israel. Originally from New York, she made aliyah with a Master’s Degree in Jewish History from Columbia University. After completing the Ministry of Tourism guide course in 1997, Shulie began guiding professionally and has since taught and guided participants of all ages.

Shulie’s tours weave together biblical, historical and literary sources, ranging from Tanakh to nineteenth-century travelers’ accounts, to present a rich picture of Israel and Jewish heritage. Alongside her work at Pardes and Matan, she also guides students in the Darkaynu special needs program. Shulie lives in Alon Shvut with her husband Jonathan and their five children.
