Queen Heleni of Adiabene donated a golden plaque for the Temple etched with the Sota text to be copied and fed to a suspect adulteress. Is this a demonstration of sisterhood? An examination of this institution helps us see why the Queen might have considered this ritual a benefit for womankind.
