Howard Markose

Rabbi Dr. Howard Markose teaches Bible and Biblical Hebrew at Pardes. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he received rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary and later earned a Ph.D. in Bible from Bar-Ilan University. After serving congregations in Toronto for ten years, Howard made aliyah with his family in 1994.

Howard previously served as rabbi of Kehilat Moreshet Avraham in Jerusalem and later as Director of Education for the Young Judaea Year Course. He also teaches Bible as a visiting adjunct professor at the Jewish Theological Seminary. Howard’s teaching experience isn’t limited to the classroom; he coached Little League Baseball in Israel for over a decade.
