Mike Uram
Rabbi Mike Uram is Chancellor of The Jewish Theological Seminary and a nationally recognized leader in Jewish education, engagement, and organizational innovation. A Pardes alumnus and former Chief Vision and Education Officer of Pardes North America, he previously served as the first Chief Jewish Learning Officer of Jewish Federations of North America and spent more than 16 years as Executive Director and Campus Rabbi of Penn Hillel.
Mike holds a B.A. in History and Religious Studies from Washington University and received rabbinic ordination from The Jewish Theological Seminary. He is the author of Next Generation Judaism: How College Students and Hillel Can Help Reinvent Jewish Organizations, which won a National Jewish Book Award. His work focuses on creating new models of Jewish community and helping established institutions reach and empower people who have traditionally remained on their margins.
