Sefi Kraut is Director of Mahloket Matters at Pardes. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, she began her career teaching Tanakh at a Jewish day school in New Jersey in 2004. After making aliyah in 2013, Sefi taught in several gap year programs before joining Pardes.

As Director of Mahloket Matters, Sefi co-created Mahloket Matters Teens, a curriculum that explores personal and societal challenges through Jewish text and social-emotional learning. She also develops and leads fellowships and professional development programs for educators, rabbis, school administrators and organizational leaders. Outside of work, Sefi enjoys playing flag football, a passion she discovered after moving to Israel.
